VCD Member Education and Training Plan   New members receive orientation briefing from a staff member. New members complete these 4 COSU courses. 1)     GOV 100 Constitutional Literacy 2)     COS 200 Responding to Opposition 3)     COS 100 Intro to Convention of States 4)     VOL 100 Introduction to Volunteering   Flash Team Members will complete new member courses, sign up to be a volunteer activist, and complete one more course. 1)    DC 100 District Captain Leadership Training   Flash Team leaders 1)    Complete the courses for new members and Volunteer Activists 2)    Participate in a petition signing event. i.e., gun show, house party, block walking etc. 3)    Complete the following COSU courses a.     COS 300 Convention of States Culture b.     LL 100 Legislative Liaison Leadership Training c.     LL 200 How to Influence Your Legislator d.     LG 100 Convention of States Legal Training e.     SGC 200 Grassroots Secrets   Training for VCD Staff members           Complete all the training listed for new members, Volunteers, and Flash Team leaders. Then complete the remaining 11 COSU courses. 1)    COS 400  Leadership & Activism 2)    FUT 100  Welcoming New Supporters 3)    LG 200    Convention of States Advanced Legal Training 4)    LL 300     Mobilizing Grassroots for Legislative Success 5)    SCC 100  Content Writer Leadership Training 6)    SCC 200  Intro to Digital Communication and Activism 7)    SD 100    State Director Leadership Training 8)    SGC 100 State Grassroots Coordinator Leadership Training 9)    SIA 100   State Information Analyst Introduction 10) SV 100    Video Production Training 11) VOL 200  Block Walking In conjunction with these classes, it is recommended that you take the CB Basic Training Course. It’s a 4-day, 1 hour a day, live webinar course to round out your knowledge of Citizen Builder.
